Aaron Paul, along with brothers John and Thomas Sonntag, have sold an hourlong drama “Blackmail” to NBC.

The project, from Universal Television, will be written by the Sonntags, who will executive produce along with Paul.

The story follows a young married couple who decide to get back at the man responsible for a life-changing accident by threatening to reveal his infidelity to his fiancee. But when things turn out to be more sinister than the couple originally thought, a dark game of cat-and-mouse sets them on the path to knowing what it means to be a real-life power couple.

Paul is currently starring in and a producer on Hulu’s “The Path,” as well as the voice of Todd Chavez and executive producer of “Bojack Horseman,” the Critics Choice Award winner for Best Animated Series.

Also on Paul’s schedule, Miramax’s supernatural thriller “The 9th Life of Louis Drax,” in which the “Breaking Bad” star will join Jamie Dornan (“Fifty Shades of Grey,” “The Fall”) as Louis Drax’s father, Peter, who becomes the target of a criminal investigation when his son suffers a near fatal accident. “The 9th Life of Louis Drax” will hit theaters Sept. 2.

Paul and the Sonntags are represented by United Talent Agency (UTA).
