Abbie Cornish Thriller ‘Lavender’ Goes to Samuel Goldwyn, AMBI Group

Companies team for domestic release of director Ed Gass-Donnelly’s movie

Samuel Goldwyn Films and AMBI Group will team up on the domestic release of the Abbie Cornish thriller “Lavender,” the companies announced Thursday.

The companies plan to release the film exclusively on DISH on February 3, 2017 one month before it hits theaters and VOD on March 3.

Ed Gass-Donnelly (“The Last Exorcism Part II”) directed the movie, which he also  co-wrote with Colin Frizzell (“Resident Evil: Apocalypse”).

Cornish stars as a photographer who suffers severe memory loss after a traumatic accident, and strange clues in her photos suggest she may be responsible for the deaths of family members she never knew she had. Justin Long plays a psychiatrist who helps her recover lost memories.

The film also stars Diego Klattenhoff and Dermot Mulroney.

“Lavender” was produced by Dave Valleau and Ed Gass-Donnelly, and executive produced by Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Tex Antonucci, Emily Alden and Jennifer Levine .

The film is the second collaboration between the two companies, which will release Simon Aboud’s “This Beautiful Fantastic” on March 10, 2017.
