ABC’s freshman comedy “Mixology” has been cancelled, according to co-star Frankie Shaw.
“Sad day,” Shaw tweeted. “Love to all you #Mixology fans. Keep watching! Great episodes left, esp the finale. xoxoxoxo”
ABC had yet to comment on the show’s fate but apparently the cat is out of the bag.
The Ryan Seacrest-produced comedy show — which chronicled the tipsy escapades of a group of people over the course of one night in a bar called The Mix — struggled to catch on with viewers. The show failed to retain viewers from its strong “Modern Family” lead-in and had low ratings throughout its run, averaging just 1.5 rating in the prime demographic.
