“Shark Tank” can only do so much. It’s going to be a long Fall of Sundays for ABC, the struggling network whose lineup on the weekend-closing day is currently bookended by the weak “Toy Box” and “Ten Days in the Valley.”

Last night, ABC finished fourth again, as NBC and Fox benefited from NFL football. Due to the nature of live sports, these Nielsen numbers for both nets should be considered subject to change.

CBS, which returned “Madam Secretary” at 10 p.m., ended up in third.

NBC was first in ratings with a 4.3 rating/15 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 12.3 million, according to preliminary numbers. The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans game posted a big number after the usual pregame stuff.

Fox was second in ratings with a 3.0/11 and in viewers with 8.7 million. After the conclusion of the Green Bay Packers-Dallas Cowboys game and postgame show “The OT,” “The Simpsons” at 8 put up a 2.2/8 and 5.4 million viewers. At 8:30, “Ghosted” got a 1.4/5 and 3.6 million viewers. “Family Guy” at 9 had a 1.4/5 and 3.1 million viewers. At 9:30, “The Last Man on Earth” closed Fox’s primetime to a 1.0/3 and 2.3 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in viewers with 8.3 million. At 7, “60 Minutes” landed a 1.1/4 and 9.8 million viewers. “Wisdom of the Crowd” at 8 received a 1.0/3 and 7.9 million viewers. At 9, “NCIS: Los Angeles” had a 1.0/3 and 8.4 million viewers. “Madam Secretary” at 10 premiered to a 0.8/3 and 7.1 million viewers.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 3.4 million. “The Toy Box” at 8 managed a 0.4/1 and 1.9 million viewers. At 9, the season premiere of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” got a 0.9/3 and 4.5 million viewers. “Shark Tank” at 9 had a 1.1/4 and 4.7 million viewers. At 10, “Ten Days in the Valley” settled for a 0.4/2 and 2.6 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 801,000.
