Fresh off “Hot Tub Time Machine 2,” Steve Pink has signed on to direct the family film “Overnight” for Disney, TheWrap has learned.
Described as “‘Home Alone’ in a toy store,” “Overnight” follows a father and son who win a sleepover in a massive toy store on the same night that a band of thieves plan to rob it.
Pink most recently directed “About Last Night” for Screen Gems and “Hot Tub Time Machine 2” for MGM and Paramount, the latter of which will release the comedy sequel on Christmas Day.
Pink and Morris will also co-write “The Yank” for TriStar. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay‘s Gary Sanchez Productions will produce alongside Mosaic, and Ferrell will potentially star in the project.
Additionally, Pink is attached to direct “Vacation Friends” for Fox and Broken Road. Real-life husband-and-wife Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are attached to star.
Pink is represented by UTA, Mosaic and Morris Yorn Barnes.
