Jason Aldean took top honors Sunday night at the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards, broadcast on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

After four previous nominations, Aldean finally claimed Entertainer of the Year.

But Chris Stapleton swept many of the other prizes, including Best Male Vocalist, New Male Vocalist, Album of the Year (“Traveler”) and Song of the Year (“Nobody to Blame”).

With his six wins (as artist and producer of the top song and album), Stapleton tied the record for most ACM Awards won in a single year; that honor was previously achieved by Garth Brooks and Faith Hill.

In addition, Dolly Parton received the Tex Ritter Award to recognize the success of “Coat of Many Colors.” The legendary singer-songwriter also performed a duet on the broadcast with pop star Katy Perry.
