‘Accidentally on Purpose’ Creator Claudia Lonow Lands Pilot Deal With ABC

Loosely autobiographical series will focus on a single mother who moves back in with her parents

Claudia Lonow, creator of the CBS Jenna Elfman sitcom "Accidentally on Purpose," has landed a put-pilot commitment from ABC for a new comedy entitled "How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life." Lonow landed with ABC following a bidding war involving multiple networks.

The series, produced by Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox TV, is based on Lonow's own life and will revolve around a single mother who moves back in with her parents to help raise her daughter. "How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life" will be a shot in multi-camera format without a live audience, similar to the approach taken with "How I Met Your Mother."

Lonow will executive-produce, along with Imagine's Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. She most recently worked on the NBC project "Friends With Benefits," also through 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine.
