AFM: XLrator, Arc Entertainment Nab Domestic Rights to Val Kilmer Thriller

“Seven Below” centers on group of strangers who seek refuge in a remote house

XLrator and Arc Entertainment have acquired the domestic rights to EFish Entertainment’s supernatural thriller, "Seven Below," the companies announced on Friday.

The Val Kilmer thriller is scheduled for release in early 2012. Vision Films is handling world wide sales at the American Film Market.

Trinity has picked up the rights in the United Kingdom, and Prime Pictures will release the movie in the Middle East.

In addition to Kilmer, the indie thriller stars Ving Rhames and Luke Goss.

The story centers on a group of strangers forced to seek refuge in a remote house in the woods while caught in a terrible storm. It turns out their ‘safe haven’ was the scene of mysterious and horrific events a century ago, leading to some thrills and chills.

Kevin Carraway directed the feature, which he co-wrote with Lawrence Sara.

EFish Entertainment co-financed with Kevin Frakes of PalmStar Media Capital.
