Ryan Murphy Reunites His Coven for First Look at ‘AHS: Apocalypse’ (Photos)

The witches are back — in black

Surprise, witches!

Ryan Murphy has officially brought the coven back together for “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” as shown with a first look at the reunited clan behind the scenes of the franchise’s anticipated eighth installment.

The series’ creator took to Instagram Sunday to share a photo of Sarah Paulson in character as Cordelia, Lily Rabe wearing her Misty Day outfit and guest star Stevie Nicks (who played herself on “Coven,” of course) posing in front of a staircase that is reminiscent of Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies from “AHS” Season 3.

He captioned the shot, “The Return. Cordelia, Stevie and Misty casting a bewitching spell.”

Murphy also tweeted a pic of the trio, plus fellow witches Emma Roberts (Madison), Taissa Farmiga (Zoe), Gabourey Sidibe (Queenie), and Frances Conroy (Myrtle Snow) all decked out in black attire, writing, “The Coven Returns. What a thrilling night with the legend Stevie Nicks on the set of AHS.”

Earlier this month, Murphy revealed that the “Coven” and “Murder House” stars (some of whom appeared on both seasons) would return for the upcoming crossover installment. That news followed Paulson’s reveal during the Television Critics Association press tour that Jessica Lange is coming back as well. The Murphy darling will reprise her Season 1 character, Constance, for one episode.

“American Horror Story: Apocalypse” premieres Sept. 12 at 9/8c on FX.
