The bitch and ghost are back, in two new behind-the-scenes photos from “American Horror Story: Apocalypse.”
The FX anthology series’ creator Ryan Murphy shared shots of Evan Peters in character on Tuesday as teenage ghost Tate (from Season 1 “Murder House”) and Emma Roberts reprising her role as queen bee witch Madison Montgomery (from Season 3 “Coven”), teasing who they will be playing when the show returns for the massive crossover installment next month.
“Tate. Happy to be home,” Murphy captioned the photo of a smiling Peters on set at the “Murder House” in Los Angeles. The creator previously revealed that Peters would also be playing series newcomer Joan Collins’ grandson for Season 8, so it looks like he’s taking on at least 2 roles — if he doesn’t reprise Kyle from “Coven,” too.
Murphy also shared a picture of Roberts’ Madison (who was dead — again — last time we checked) dressed in all black, standing by a disheveled pile of skeletons, writing: “Madison amongst the backyard bones at Murder House. AHS Apocalypse premieres Sept 12.”
The actress posted the same picture on her social accounts and wrote, “I bring you Madison Montgomery on #ahs8 ??-? Does the bitch survive the #apocalypse ?” That’s a good question, Emma. A very good question.
Roberts and Peters are among the long list of “AHS” alums who are returning for “Apocalypse,” including Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Connie Britton (exclusively reported by TheWrap), Dylan McDermott, Taissa Farmiga, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks. Oh, and let’s not forget the biggest surprise return of all: Jessica Lange. Add to that series newcomers Joan Collins and Cody Fern and you’ve got yourself a recipe for one serious end of days story
See the photos of Roberts and Peters on set below.
“American Horror Story: Apocalypse” will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10/9c on FX.
