Alison Rosen Will Address Shocking ‘Adam Carolla Show’ Firing on Thursday’s Podcast

Former Carolla news girl tells TheWrap she isn’t sure what she’ll say yet on the Wednesday-recorded “Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend”

Alison Rosen may be off “The Adam Carolla Show,” but she still has her own platform — and the now-ex news girl plans to address her unceremonious termination on Thursday’s “Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend” podcast.

“I’m really excited to see everyone because it’s been since before the break that I saw them,” Rosen told TheWrap. “I’m not quite sure what I’m going to say yet, but obviously I plan to address it because it’s a big thing that happened in my life and I talk about my life — and how I feel about what’s going on in my life — on my show.”

“Obviously it’s complicated by the fact that the guys still work on the show and I would never want to put them in an uncomfortable position and yet I can’t not address it,” she continued. “So that’s the part I’m still trying to figure out: How to best handle for the sake of everyone involved, including the listeners.”

On the Thursday edition of “ARIYNBF,” Rosen will be joined by her usual crew (at least, the gang who is regularly in-studio when she’s not doing a one-on-one): comedian Jenna Kim Jones and Carolla Digital employees Gary Smith, Matt Fondiler, Chris Laxamana and Caelan Biehn. Instead of recording at Carolla’s studio — like she used to — Rosen and co. will gather at her house in Hancock Park around 6:30 Wednesday evening. The show should be online around midnight.

It will actually be the second podcast that Rosen records in her new manner — on Tuesday night she recorded a one-on-one interview with YouTube personality Lisa Schwartz. That episode will upload at 9 p.m. Sunday night, which is Rosen’s usual Monday show timing.

“Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend” is currently at No. 4 overall on iTunes Top Podcasts, No. 1 in the Comedy genre.
