All Elite Wrestling Gets Its Weeknight, Time Slot and Premiere Date From TNT – Plus a Trailer (Video)

TCA 2019: Weekly AEW series is still waiting on that show title though

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) finally has its weeknight and time slot on TNT — and a premiere date. The AEW series will begin airing its weekly two-hour show on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 8/7c to 10/9c.

We also got a trailer Wednesday at the Television Critics Association press tour, which you can watch above.

What we don’t have yet is a title. That will be revealed at a later date, a TNT rep told TheWrap.

Week 1 of the series will see AEW take over the Capitol One Arena in Washington D.C. The show will travel to different cities across the nation from there.

Funded by president and CEO Tony Khan, AEW was founded by Cody and Brandi Rhodes and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson). Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE) also headline the talent pool. Other wrestlers include Nyla Rose, Awesome Kong, Dustin Rhodes (formerly Goldust in WWE), Jungle Boy, Dr. Britt Baker, MJF and SCU. Legendary wrestling commentator Jim Ross will provide the play-by-play.

In addition to being in-ring talent, Cody, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega also serve as executive vice presidents. Brandi Rhodes is chief brand officer.

AEW pay-per-views have streamed on Turner’s B/R Live platform. The next one, Aug. 31’s “All Out” in Chicago, will be no exception.

Here is how All Elite Wrestling describes its style:

Focused on fast-paced, high-impact competitions, AEW offers fans more athleticism along with real sports analytics. Wrestlers are also given freedom to explore their characters and highlight their athletic abilities. Introducing statistics to wrestling for the first time ever, AEW will raise the stakes for its matches and deepen fan engagement by tracking each competitor’s wins and losses as wrestlers pursue championships. Their moves and damage to their opponents will be analyzed on-air to provide insights into their winning streaks.
