ABC’s “American Idol” is set to debut on Sunday, March 11 from 8-10 p.m., Ryan Seacrest announced this morning on “Live.”
The Ryan of “Kelly & Ryan” will again host the former Fox singing competition. This time around, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will judge the contestants.
The nationwide search for the next “American Idol” kicked off in August. While that bus tour will tackle 23 cities, hopefuls are also able to submit audition videos online and via social media. There was even a livestream option this year.
“American Idol” is produced by FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment, a division of CORE Media Group. Executive producers include FremantleMedia North America’s Trish Kinane and Jennifer Mullin, along with co-executive producer, Megan Wolflick.
