NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” matched a three-year high with a 2.1 rating in the key 18-49 demographic on Monday night. The show also reached 7.2 million total viewers, leading the network to a first-place finish there too.
Meanwhile, ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” slipped 17 percent in the main demo. The CW had a nice night, as all three of their primetime shows rose by double digits versus last week.
CBS aired just reruns last night.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 6 million, according to preliminary numbers. “American Ninja Warrior” at 8 p.m. was the most-watched show of the night, while “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” at 9 scored a 1.3/5 and 3.6 million total viewers.
ABC was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and third in viewers with 3.9 million. “Bachelor in Paradise” had a 1.5/5 rating and was watched by 5.2 million viewers. Its companion talk show “After Paradise,” which immediately followed the new episode, got a 1.0/3 in ratings and 3.8 million total viewers. ABC’s 10 p.m. sci-fi drama “The Whispers” earned a 0.7/2 in ratings and was watched by 2.7 million total viewers.

CBS and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.8/3 CBS came in second in total viewers with 5 million, airing just reruns; Fox came in fourth with 3 million total viewers; “So You Think You Can Dance” at 8 was the only show on the network’s primetime schedule.
Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 2.1 million.
The CW tied Telemundo for sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2, while it topped the Spanish-language channel in total viewers with 1.7 million versus 1.5 million. The youth-skewing network saw gains in all its shows for the night, with “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” at 8 p.m. scoring a 0.6/2 rating and 2.1 total viewers, “Whose Line Is It Anyway” at 9 earning a 0.7/2 rating and 1.8 million total viewers, and “Significant Mother” at 9:30 getting a 0.3/1 rating and 950,000 total viewers.
