Ratings: Led by ‘American Ninja Warrior,’ NBC Nabs Monday’s Most Viewers

But ABC’s ”The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All“ was primetime’s No. 1 overall show

With “American Ninja Warrior” and a late “Dateline,” NBC just topped Monday primetime in total viewers for the first time since June 4’s Stanley Cup Finals. ABC still finished No. 1 in the key ratings demo, and its “Bachelorette: The Men Tell All” talk show was the top show last night.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.1 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 4.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. The “Bachelorette” special, which now airs one week ahead of the actual season finale, posted a 1.3/6 and 5.4 million viewers from 8-10 p.m. “The Proposal” at 10 received a 0.7/3 and 3.1 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and first in viewers with 5.1 million. “American Ninja Warrior” from 8-10 put up a 1.1/5 and 5.3 million viewers. “Dateline NBC” at 10 got a 0.8/4 and 4.6 million viewers.

Telemundo was third in ratings with a 0.6/3, but fifth in viewers with 1.4 million.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 2.3 million. “So You Think You Can Dance” at 8 had a 0.6/3 and 2.6 million viewers. A rerun followed.

CBS and Univision tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. CBS was third in total viewers with 3.3 million, Univision was sixth with 1.22 million.

Following repeats, “Salvation” at 9 got a 0.3/1 and 2.6 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 received a 0.4/2 and 3.4 million viewers.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 1.21 million. “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” had a 0.3/1 and 1.4 million viewers. At 9, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” 0.3/1 and 1.1 million viewers. A rerun followed.
