‘American Vandal’ Gets Season 2 at Netflix

True-crime satire’s new eight-episode run debuts in 2018

American Vandal” is coming back to crack another case.

Netflix has renewed the true-crime satire for an eight-episode second season that will debut in 2018. Returning for the new run are co-creators Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, along with showrunner Dan Lagana.

The first season premiered in September and focused on a high school prank involving faculty cars vandalized with phallic images. It starred Tyler Alvarez, Griffin Gluck, Jimmy Tatro, Camille Hyde and Eduardo Franco.

“American Vandal” is produced by CBS Television Studios, Funny or Die and 3 Arts. Also executive producing are Joe Farrell for Funny or Die, along with Ari Lubet, Josh Lieberman and Michael Rotenberg for 3 Arts.

The pickup follows Netflix handing out a second-season renewal earlier this week to fellow ribald comedy series “Big Mouth,” which counts Nick Kroll as a co-creator and voice star.
