The “Hollywood Game Night” season finale and its lead-in “America’s Got Talent” handed NBC its usual summer Tuesday victory last night.
CBS finished second with just a rerun of “NCIS” and an original “Zoo” episode.
The Spanish-language nets tied for third in the key 18-49 demographic as ABC’s soft season of “Extreme Weight Loss” came to a sad ending. Fox tied for fifth with ABC in the main demo as “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader’s” rating rose in its own season finale.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. “AGT” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.0/7 and 10.4 million viewers. “Game Night” at 10 received a 1.3/4 and 4.9 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in viewers with 6.6 million. After the repeat, “Zoo” at 9 had a 1.0/3 and 5.7 million viewers.
Univision and Telemundo tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.7. Univision had a 3 share, Telemundo had a 2. Univision was fourth in total viewers with 2.1 million; Telemundo was sixth with 1.6 million.
ABC and Fox tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.6/2. ABC was third in total viewers with 2.4 million; Fox was fifth with 1.9 million.
For ABC, following reruns, “Extreme Weight Loss” got a 0.6/2 — down 45 percent from last summer’s finale — and 2.1 million viewers.
For Fox, the “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” finale rose 40 percent week over week to a 0.7/3, and had 2.5 million viewers. Repeats followed.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 937,000, airing only reruns.
