NBC was first in ratings with a 2.0 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 7.6 million, according to preliminary numbers.
After an "Off Their Rockers" rerun at 8 p.m., a new episode at 8:30 earned a 1.0/3 with 4 million viewers. At 9, "America's Got Talent," was the highest-rated show of the evening, receiving a 2.5/7 at 9 p.m. and 9.5 million viewers.
Fox and Univision tied for second in ratings with a 1.5/5. Fox came in third in total viewers with 4.4 million, and Univision was fourth with 3.9 million. For Fox, the two-hour "So You Think You Can Dance" at 8 p.m. was the only show on the primetime schedule.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and second in total viewers with 6.7 million. It aired only reruns.
ABC was fifth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and total viewers with 3.1 million. It aired a two-hour "Extreme Weight Loss" at 8, which earned a 1.1/3 and 3.3 million viewers. ABC ran a repeat at 10.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.8/3 and total viewers 2 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in total viewers, with 495,000. The network aired reruns.
