The series, which has been hosted by John Walsh since 1988 and has led to the capture of more than 1,000 criminals during its run, began on Lifetime with its 25th season premiere in December 2011, and received an order for 20 more episodes last March.
While "America's Most Wanted" isn't being renewed by Lifetime, the network is developing an investigative pilot with Walsh.
