Is this the end of trust in New York City?
Thanks to careless prankster Billy Eichner’s latest stunt, New Yorkers can now never be sure whether they’re actually witnessing hip hop artist and entrepreneur Pitbull running around like a frantic maniac on the streets of the Flatiron district. It was a beloved tradition, seeing the “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” rapper burning pavement around the Argo Tea and Duane Reade on 22nd street and Broadway, but from here on out, such a sighting will be marred by uncertainty.
Now, every New Yorker is going to have to ask his or herself, “Is that actually just Golden Globe-winning actress and former ‘SNL’ standout Amy Poehler wearing a Pitbull mask?”
And all because Eichner wanted a “funny” stunt for his Fuse show, “Billy on the Street,” and was able to bamboozle the “Parks and Recreation” star to prey on the innocence of the Pitbull-loving denizens of Manhattan.
