Amy Schumer Learns Being a Disney Princess Isn’t So Great After All (Video)

The “Trainwreck” star goes from “rancid peasant girl” to royalty in sketch showing the downside of wearing the crown

Amy Schumer learns that being a princess isn’t all that Disney makes it out to be in a sketch from this week’s episode of her Comedy Central show “Inside Amy Schumer.”

In the sketch, a send-up of the Disney princesses, Schumer plays Princess Amy, a “rancid peasant girl” who is swept away by her royal attache, played by Tim Gunn, to become royalty.

Complete with ballgowns and cartoon birds to help her get dressed, it’s every girl’s Disney dream come true — at least until she’s forced to marry to her cousin, bear his child at 14 and is executed by commoners overthrowing the crown.

“I just wanted to be a princess,” says Princess Amy’s detached head after her execution.

“Inside Amy Schumer” airs Tuesdays on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET.
