“Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker visited her pal Andy Cohen on Wednesday night’s “Watch What Happens Live,” and the host had some ideas about bringing the “Sex and the City 3” movie back to life.
“I would like to throw my wig into the ring and audition to play Samantha,” Cohen said, donning a blonde wig, after pointing out that Parker had offered the gig to Ellen Degeneres and Stephen Colbert when she appeared on their talk shows.
Cohen and Parker read from a scene in Season 5, Episode 4: “Cover Girl,” in which Carrie and Samantha are discussing a certain sex act and delivery boys (on that note, it turns out Cohen might be even better for the role than Parker initially thought).
The Samantha audition might not only be for fun — Parker hinted at a possibility for a third film installment of the franchise now that the dust has settled from the group’s public spat.
“I think once everybody has thoroughly experienced the grieving process, then [producer] Michael Patrick [King] can go back and sort of ponder what he might want to do and how he might want to proceed,” she said.
