Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl expert Dave Salmoni stopped by TheWrap offices to discuss the 13-year tradition of the cuter, fluffier version of the Super Bowl.
“It’s an alternative viewing to the Super Bowl, not everybody’s a football fan, sometimes the game’s kinda boring,” Salmoni said. “So if you want, if you like puppies, you’re tuning into Animal Planet.”
Salmoni explained a few other things too, but honestly, who can concentrate on facts and information when a mountain of puppies are squirming about?
Puppies from 34 different shelters will compete in Puppy Bowl XIII, airing during the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 5 from 3-5 p.m. ET
