Anna Kendrick Expresses Shock at ‘Cups’ Success Via Instagram (Video)

Despite "Pitch Perfect" being nearly a year old, it's break-out tune is currently more popular than ever on the Billboard charts

Anna Kendrick does not need words to show her disbelief at having a song in the Billboard Top Ten for five weeks.

The actress released a brief (though to be fair, they are all brief) Instagram video of herself widening her eyes, shaking her head and searching for an answer — but ultimately coming up short — about her achievement.

The actress's song, "Cups," was popularized by her performance of the 1931 song "When I'm Gone" in the 2012 movie "Pitch Perfect."

In the film, Kendrick's character auditions for a choir by doing Lulu and the Lampshades' 2009 version of what they called "You're Gonna Miss Me," where the band incorporated the rhythmic aspect of the children's game "Cups" into the old tune. In the movie, Kendrick made the singing group with the song — now the single is making her a music star.

Kendrick's version has been on the Billboard Hot 100 for 32 weeks total, and has peaked at number 6, where is currently sits.
