While Anna Kendrick has been busy busting out songs in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise and laying down a voice performance for the forthcoming “Trolls,” she’s not immune to daydreams of playing a superhero.

The actress was recently asked what cape-and-tights character she’d most like to portray — and the answer is a bit nutty.

“My brother sent me a ‘Squirrel Girl’ comic because he thinks I should [play her],” she said during a recent chat with Net A Porter. “I don’t know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!”

Squirrel Girl, a.k.a. Doreen Green, was introduced to the Marvel comic book universe in 1992. While she’s definitely a breezier character compared to the theatrics of other Marvel heroes, she’s got some pretty impressive powers and victories under her belt.

In addition to the expected bushy tail and an affinity for climbing, Squirrel Girl possesses super strength, speed and an ability to heal quickly, per People magazine. She’s also racked up some impressive victories over villains like Doctor Doom and current “Avengers” threat Thanos.

Kendrick fans seemed pleased with the suggestion, and one even created some fan art on the fly of Kendrick in costume.

Marvel, however, is busy itself trying to cast another major female superhero — Captain Marvel — and is said to be in early negotiations with reigning Best Actress Oscar winner Brie Larson.

Kendrick’s “Trolls,” costarring Justin Timberlake, is out in the fall.

She’ll also appear in this week’s R-rated comedy “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates,” opposite Zac Efron, Adam Devine and Aubrey Plaza.
