Another NBC Flip-flop: We’re Doing a Regular Upfront

Ben Silverman’s attempt to shake things up is rejected as network goes back to basics.

In another big reversal, NBC has decided to go back to a traditional upfront.

The network will present its schedule to advertisers on Monday, May 17, the first day of upfront week.  It will present in the morning, with Fox going in the afternoon.

The past two years, under the leadership of Ben Silverman, the network had tried to get a head start on the process by going early or not presenting a formal lineup at all.

Advertisers and others weren’t impressed by the results. So now, NBC is going back to basics.
