Anthony Bourdain’s ex-wife, Ottavia Busia, paid tribute to him in a photo posted on Instagram Sunday of their 11-year-old daughter singing at New York’s gypsy-themed lounge, DROM.
The photo shows Ariane Bourdain singing in a rock band, and wearing the boots that her father gave her.
“Our little girl had her concert today,” she wrote. “She was amazing. So strong and brave. She wore the boots you bought her.”
“I hope you are having a good trip, wherever you are,” she concluded.
Ariane is the “Parts Unknown” host’s only child.
Bourdain was found dead in a hotel room in Strasbourg, France, while on location filming for the show. In addition to his marriage to Busia, Bourdain was previously married to high school sweetheart Nancy Putkoski; that marriage ended in divorce after two decades.
Most recently, Bourdain had been dating actress, director and activist Asia Argento — and strongly supported her last fall as she publicly accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct. He also became an outspoken advocate for other accusers in the burgeoning #MeToo movement.
