Comedy Central’s ‘Good Talk’ Trailer: Anthony Jeselnik Is Back on TV, and Baby, He Hates TV (Video)

First look also promises kiddie-porn talk

Comedy Central revealed the trailer for “Good Talk With Anthony Jeselnik” on Thursday, the stand-up comic’s new show that is very likely not for everyone. That’s also what gives it a very good chance of being very good.

“Welcome to ‘Good Talk With Anthony Jeselnik,’ a show so easy to make it got me back on television,” the comedian introduces his own show in the first look. “And baby, I hate television.”

One of his sample questions: “What do you think makes me such a great comedian?”

And then there is this exchange:

Nick Kroll: “I don’t think kids should be able to do any show business.”

Jeselnik: “What about porn?”

Kroll: “That’s fine.”

So yeah, it’s that kinda show.

“Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik” features Anthony’s interviews with a few of his friends — some of the top comics in the business — in which they discuss all things comedy. Over the course of six episodes, Anthony sits down with Kroll, Natasha Leggero, Kumail Nanjiani, Tig Notaro, Kristen Schaal and David Spade. Anthony and his guests center their conversations around stand-up, stories and bits, and participate in bizarre studio segments.

Christie Smith and Meaghan Rady are executive producers of “Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik,” with Rady also serving as showrunner. Anne Harris, Tara Schuster and Jackie Sosa are executives in charge of the series for Comedy Central.

The series is part of Jeselnik’s multiplatform development deal.

“Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik” will premiere Sept. 6 at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
