Looks like handing your child over to Anthony Kiedis isn’t as ill-advised an idea as it might at first seem.

Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Kiedis revealed that he saved a baby’s life while he and his band were filming a segment of Carpool Karaoke with “Late Late Show” host James Corden.

The rocker revealed the heroic incident during an interview with Radio X’s Chris Moyles.

As Kiedis explained, after a dance-off, Corden and the group decided to have some Mexican food.

“And a woman came out of her house holding a child, saying, ‘My baby, my baby, my baby can’t breathe!’” the singer recalled.

“We all ran across the street. The lady thrust the baby into my arms. The baby was not breathing,” the 53-year-old singer continued. “I thought, ‘I’m going to try and do a little baby CPR real quick to see if I can get some air into this kid.”

The singer said that he was able to revive the infant by “rubbing the belly.”

I tried to open the mouth. [It was] shut, “locked shut. So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles started coming out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place. The ambulance showed up and I handed the baby over who was breathing and fine,” Kiedis said. “And we went back to shooting Carpool Karaoke.”
