Anthony Weiner’s Lousy Post-Resignation Offers: ‘Entourage,’ Larry Flynt

He’s in D.C.’s doghouse now, but that hasn’t stopped Hollywood suitors from wanting to jump into bed with him

New York congressman Anthony Weiner, who resigned in shame Thursday after a dizzying two weeks of salacious sexting revelations, is totally in D.C.'s doghouse right now.

But that hasn't stopped non-political suitors from wanting to jump into bed with him.

Doug Ellin, the executive producer of "Entourage," told the Hollywood Reporter on Thursday that he has approached the disgraced 46-year-old Democrat about doing a cameo during the show's final season, which kicks off July 24.

Ellin says he has yet to hear back, which we take to mean that a cameo on "Entourage" is no way to rehabilitate a scandal-tarnished image.

But how about a job at "Hustler"?

The offer is on the table. Publisher and self-proclaimed "free speech activist" Larry Flynt posted an open letter on his personal website Thursday requesting that Weiner report for duty at the "Hustler" offices, effective immediately.

"This offer is not made in jest," Flynt writes, later adding, "just as we do not undertake insincere political crusades, we do not make insincere job offers."

Flynt pledged that Weiner would receive a 20 percent pay bump over his salary as an elected member of the House of Representatives, plus full relocation costs to Beverly Hills.

Weiner hasn't jumped on either offer, and we can only imagine that he's holding out for more appropriate opportunities a bit higher up the food chain, like a cameo on "Jersey Shore" or a job at "Barely Legal."
