“The Good Wife Star” will star in the upcoming ABC drama pilot “The Jury.”

The pilot sets up a potential anthology series for ABC, with each season focusing on an individual murder trial.

Panjabi has been cast to play series protagonist Kim Dempsey. VJ Boyd and Mark Bianculli are writing. Boyd will executive produce with Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz. Bianculli will serve as co-executive producer.

ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television are producing the pilot.

Panjabi departed CBS drama “The Good Wife” at the end of last season. She left the show with a development deal from 20th Century Fox Television, though that deal appears to have expired.

Panjabi’s former co-star Julianna Margulies hinted recently that the CBS show may be coming to an end, saying in a speech at the Artios Awards, “I’m unemployed come April.”

Executive producers and creators Robert and Michelle King are set to depart the series at the end of the current season.
