Ariel Winter Lashes Out at Star Magazine Over ‘Fake News': ‘Get Your Sh–‘ Straight’

”Modern Family“ star seethes on social media about report that her boyfriend is a kept man

Star Magazine is pretty dim, as far as Ariel Winter is concerned.

The “Modern Family” star lashed out at the tabloid on Wednesday, condemning a “fake news” report about her, and telling the magazine, “Get your s— straight.”

In a post captioned “Not cool,” Winter seethed, “I would NEVER pay my boyfriend ANY sort of allowance, nor would he EVER accept it if I offered it. He BUYS his own stuff whether it’s for me or for himself, and he more than pulls his weight for our life. I HATE fake news, but I guess that’s what our world has come to. Get your sh-t straight.”

“I don’t support anyone, and I don’t need anyone to support me,” the actress continued. “He’s got a full career (including something huge that’s new) and works hard for it. He’s not just someone’s boyfriend. So if you don’t know us, don’t comment. Xoxo.”

Winter’s social-media diatribe came after Star published a report that Winter is the “breadwinner” in her relationship with actor Levi Meaden.

The report added that Winter “wants to let Levi take care of her too, even if it’s with her own money.”

Quoting a source, the magazine reported that some of Winter’s friends “worry that she’s throwing too much cash his way … Why would he go on auditions when he can stay home and still collect a paycheck?”

In a second tweet, Winter punctuated her feelings with a raised middle finger and a peace sign — albeit in emoji form — along with the message, “lol-ing at you Star Magazine.”

In recent months, the “Modern Family” star has been the target of criticism from both the media and the public, often because of her style of dress. On Memorial Day, the actress raised ire by publishing a photo of herself in a bikini, on a day meant to commemorate those who had died serving their country.

“Are you serious?” asked yet another. “Post whatever pics you want but this particular one does not jive with what memorial day is about.”

“Tits.. As always.. This has NOTHING to do with Memorial Day!!!” tsk-tsked another detractor.
