Arnold Schwarzenegger was sporting quite the fashion statement during a bike ride in Santa Monica on Sunday — and no, that's not a reference to the very tight and perhaps ill-conceived shorts.
The "Terminator" star and former California governor was spotted wearing a T-shirt that read "I Survived Maria" on the front, and the years 1977 – 2010 on the back.
Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver split up earlier this year — shortly after which the action star famously admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock.
According to TMZ, the T-shirts were printed as a joke, for a farewell party for Shriver's staff. The staff gave then-Gov. Schwarzenegger one of the garments, after scratching out "2007" on the back and replacing it with "1977" — the year that he and Shriver started dating.
One can only wonder what kind of response Shriver would print on her own T-shirt — and if this weren't a family-oriented Web site, we'd speculate on it…
