Italian actress and outspoken Harvey Weinstein accuser Asia Argento is joining “X Factor” in Italy as a judge, producer FremantleMedia Italy said on Thursday.

Also a singer and DJ, Argento will join fellow judges FedezMara Maionchi and Manuel Agnelli, along with host Alessandro Cattelan. “X Factor” Italy will begin shooting its new season in June and is set to starting airing on Sky in the fall.

“We welcome all the protagonists of this new edition, but particularly Asia Argento, whom we are delighted to have on board,” said Gabriele Immirzi, COO of FremantleMedia Italy. “‘X Factor’ 2018 will signal a more creative and productive renovation of the show, with the ambition to continue to grow and be more and more the reference point for Italian and international music shows.”

“We are excited to welcome Asia to the ‘X Factor’ family, where we are confident that the contribution of her musical culture and personality will be very important to the show,” added Nils Hartmann, director of Sky Italy original productions.

Argento, who co-starred opposite Vin Diesel in 2002’s “xXx,” has been in the news regularly after telling Ronan Farrow last year that she was raped by Weinstein at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival. At this year’s Cannes gathering, Argento called out Harvey Weinstein for his “crimes,” and put other predators in the industry on notice, promising, “We’re not going to allow you to get away with it any longer.”

Weinstein was indicted Wednesday in New York City on multiple sexual assault charges, including a rape charge.
