The deal represents an extension of the current relationship, which began in 2011 with “The Kennedys” miniseries. A subsequent development deal has yielded Asylum-produced unscripted programming including “Beverly Hills Pawn,” “The Capones,” and “Hollywood Hillbillies.”

“Asylum is one of the great TV production companies and, especially as an independent network, we are lucky to have such committed partners as Jonathan Koch and Steve Michaels,” said Stan E. Hubbard, chief executive officer of ReelzChannel. “Reelz’s viewers, distributors and sponsors will be the beneficiaries with an immense amount of truly original programming coming to our network.”
