Good news, ladies (and some gentlemen): For the first time ever, you’ll be able to ogle "The Bachelor" in glorious high-definition.
ABC today announced that the next installment of its reality franchise will be the first to air in HD. That means you’ll be able to see the look of desperation in the bachelorettes’ eyes so much more clearly. And the roses will just pop out at ya.
Debuting Jan. 4 at 8 p.m., the new cycle will, as previously announced, feature former "Bachelorette" contestant Jake Pavelka in the lead role. ABC’s even given this season a cheeky subtitle: "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love," because, you know, Jake is a pilot.
