Ratings: ‘Bachelorette’ Beats ‘American Ninja Warrior’ – and Everything Else – Again

ABC tops another Monday with primetime dating shows

Love is still in the air between “The Bachelorette” and its viewers.

ABC won another Monday thanks to its main summer dating competition, which was again the No. 1 show on broadcast television. Powered by “American Ninja Warrior,” NBC finished in second.

Both CBS and Fox settled for a fourth-place ratings ties with Spanish-language net Univision last night. Fellow en Espanol channel Telemundo finished in third among adults 18-49.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.2 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 4.94 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Bachelorette” at 8 p.m. courted a 1.4/6 and 5.9 million viewers. At 10, “The Proposal” had a 0.7/3 and 3.1 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and in viewers with 4.85 million. “American Ninja Warrior” at 8 received a 1.0/5 and 5 million viewers. At 10, “Dateline NBC” got a 0.8/4 and 4.5 million viewers.

Telemundo was third in ratings with a 0.6/2, but fifth in viewers with 1.4 million.

CBS, Fox and Univision all tied for fourth in ratings, each with a 0.4/2. CBS was third in total viewers with 3.2 million, Fox was fourth with 2.2 million, and Univision was seventh with 1.25 million.

For CBS, following reruns, “Salvation” at 9 had a 0.3/1 and 2.6 million viewers. At 10, “Elementary” got a 0.4/2 and 3.5 million viewers.

For Fox, “So You Think You Can Dance” at 8 received a 0.6/3 and 2.6 million viewers. A rerun followed.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and sixth in viewers with 1.31 million. “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” at 8 had a 0.3/2 and 1.5 million viewers. “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” got a 0.3/1 and 1.3 million viewers.
