“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” is ready for Christmas and in-house musician Jon Batiste loves all of the holiday music… except that one song where the Joker gets away because Batman has car trouble.
“Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg. The batmobile lost a wheel and Joker got away,” Batiste sang before saying, “I’m not into that song.”
Colbert then joked “Robin ovulated, somehow,” adding, “they kind of gloss over how the egg got out of Robin, but it’s a pretty upsetting image when you think about it”

Batiste agreed the egg reference is “nasty” and said, “That’s why I took the liberty to put Batman references into all of the Christmas songs.”
The “Late Show” bandleader then busted out a medley of Christmas carols, with a little help from the crowd. Check out the video above.
