Baz Luhrmann Signs Overall Deal With Sony Pictures Television

Luhrmann has entered a two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, an individual familiar with the agreement told TheWrap.

Under the deal, Luhrmann will develop projects for cable and broadcast television via his Bazmark Films company.

Luhrmann will work with his wife and Bazmark co-founder Catherine Martin to develop the projects, as well as will Anton Monsted, who's worked with Luhrmann on numerous projects, including the upcoming "The Great Gatsby," "Australia" and "Moulin Rouge."

Deadline first reported the news of Luhrmann's deal with Sony Pictures Television.
