‘You vs Wild’ Trailer: Make Bear Grylls Face a Mountain Lion, Climb Into an Abyss or Eat a Bug (Video)

“And if you don’t make the right choices, it might not end well for me,” survival expert warns

“In ‘You vs. Wild,’ whatever you say goes,” Bear Grylls tells you (yes, you) in the trailer for his upcoming interactive Netflix series.

And just from what the one-minute 44-second clip teases, “whatever you say” when you watch/play “You vs. Wild” might lead to a dark fate for the survival expert.

In the eight-episode series, which launches April 10, viewers join Grylls on exciting adventures all over the world. Dense jungles, towering mountains, brutal deserts, and mysterious forests await, with tough decisions around every corner, per Netflix. In the interactive adventure series, viewers will make all the decisions and whether or not Bear succeeds or fails is totally up to you.

“And if you don’t make the right choices, it might not end well for me,” Grylls warns in the “You vs. Wild” trailer, after giving users options such as forcing him to face a mountain lion, climb into an abyss or eat a truly gross-looking bug.

Grylls, Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, Rob Buchta, and Delbert Shoopman are executive producers on the Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures series. Ben Simms will direct.

Netflix rode its “Choose Your Own Adventure”-style movie “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” to big viewership numbers and large fanfare. “Bandersnatch” debuted on Dec. 28.

Grylls’ other survival series, “Running Wild With Bear Grylls,” where he actually gets to make the decisions, recently moved from NBC to Nat Geo.

“You vs. Wild” launches April 10 on Netflix.
