Beau Willimon and Fisher Stevens among the Hollywood veterans joining Politico’s 2017 Inauguration Hub in partnership with TheWrap

Beau Willimon, creator of “House of Cards,” discussed the state of politics on Friday morning at 7 a.m. PT, the day of Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

The Oscar and Emmy nominee joined a conversation with TheWrap CEO Sharon Waxman and Anna Palmer, coauthor of Politico’s Playbook daily newsletter, as part of Politico’s 2017 Inauguration Hub at the W Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Programming at the Hub included a panel at 10:30 a.m. PT on the future of environmental policy that was co-moderated by Waxman and Politico Editor John Harris, titled, “Coming Together: The Environment and the Next Four Years.”

Panel participants included Mike McKenna, President, MWR Strategies; Collin O’Mara, CEO, National Wildlife Federation; and Fisher Stevens, actor and Oscar-winning documentarian whose most recent film is the Leonardo DiCaprio-narrated “Before the Flood.”

On Friday, January 20, the top of the W Hotel, located across from the White House, was transformed into POLITICO’s 2017 Inauguration Hub welcoming a mix of political leaders, activists and respected business and cultural figures.

Inauguration coverage and the swearing-in ceremony was played on screens throughout the hub and the day is set to close with viewing of the inaugural parade route from the W hotel.

The space on top of the W Hotel provides exclusive views of the White House and the Inauguration Day Parade route from an all-day networking lounge and will be the premier destination for D.C. Influencers to experience this historic moment.
