BermanBraun Hires Former Demand Media Legal Counsel

David Ho will handle legal and business affairs for BermanBraun's television, film and digital departments

BermanBraun, an independent television and media production house, hired David Ho to oversee its legal and business affairs for its television, film and digital divisions.

Ho previously worked as an assistant general counsel at the online content company Demand Media, which he helped guide to a lucrative IPO in 2011, roughly five years after he arrived, according to a statement from BermanBraun on Tuesday.

"David has a unique, impressive background within digital media, live television and scripted programming," founder Gail Berman said of Ho's move to her eponymous company. "His experience collaborating with digital and entertainment partners will be of great value as he heads our legal and business affairs team."

Before joining Demand Media in 2007, Ho was a business affairs executive at Fox Cable Networks and Universal Music Groups digital division. While at Fox, he helped launch the online video streaming service Hulu.
