Attention, “Big Bang Theory” fans and savvy investors; now might be the time to snap up some Kleenex stock.
With the CBS sitcom rapidly drawing to an end, series star Kaley Cuoco shared an emotional set of behind-the-scenes glimpses with fans on Wednesday, suggesting that she’s shed more than a few tears this week.
The first behind-the-scenes look posted to Cuoco’s Instagram account on Wednesday offered a photo of a script watermarked with her name. Text on the script read, “End of Series.”
“Yea, didn’t sleep,” Cuoco wrote of the image.
Cuoco also shared a photo of herself on set and seemingly in tears with the message, “Post table read for @bigbangtheory_cbs finale episode.”
A third image depicted a script opened up on a table, accompanied by a place card bearing Cuoco’s name, a box of Kleenex, and a whole bunch of crumpled tissues.
Cuoco’s third post also offered a warning to fans, saying that the series finale “has truly given me a loss for words.”
“Prepare yourselves … for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words,” Cuoco wrote, adding, “Our whole universe …”
“The Big Bang Theory” is scheduled to end its run after 12 seasons with an hour-long series finale on Thursday, May 16.
