Kunal Nayyar makes a very good point. In a number of ways.

“Big Bang Theory” star Nayyar shared a behind-the-scenes moment with fans via Instagram on Wednesday, posting a photo of himself with Kal Penn, who is scheduled to appear on the CBS sitcom.

Nayyar posted a photo of he and Penn pointing at each other, saying that he was “humbled” to share the stage with Penn.

The actor also detailed how Penn had been an early inspiration for him.

“When I was just a kid in college grinding away long hours training in the theater program you gave me hope that looking like me, I could make it here,” Nayyar wrote.

The actor continued, “Last night I was humbled to share the stage with you, and today I am honored to call you a friend. Thank you for being you, so I could be me.”

Nayyar signed off with the hashtag, “#brotherfromanothermother.”

According to a press release from CBS, Penn and Sean Astin will appear on the Jan. 17 episode of “The Big Bang Theory” as physicists from Chicago who prove a super asymmetry theory developed by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik), only to try to kick Amy off of the Nobel nomination.

Until then, see Nayyar’s message for Penn below.
