‘Big Brother UK’ Says Stormy Daniels Bailed on Show ‘Hours’ Before Guests Entered House

Producers and porn star “were unable to agree any acceptable conditions for her entering the house,” show tweets

“Big Brother UK” wants to set the record straight about why Stormy Daniels was not one of the 13 celebrities to enter the house on Thursday night’s premiere of “Celebrity Big Brother” on Channel 5 in the UK — even though multiple outlets were reporting she was on board.

“We note the comments from the transmission of ‘Loose Women’ on ITV earlier today,” a CBS spokesperson said in a statement to TheWrap Friday. “Stormy Daniels was booked to appear on the show several months ago and hours before the show was due to go live, informed the production team that she no longer wished to enter the house as previously agreed. Producers discussed a variety of options with her but were unable to agree any acceptable conditions for her entering the house. Our focus is now on making a brilliant series with our fantastic celebrities.”

The response to Daniels’ absence came hours after “Loose Women” tweeted a picture of host Jane Moore and the porn star, writing, “Today @StormyDaniels was due to talk to us live in the studio. Due to reasons out of our control, the interview couldn’t go ahead. Watch this space…”

While Daniels did not actually appear on the ITV program (the show cited legal complications), Moore discussed the off-camera interview they had with her co-hosts on screen. Moore said Daniels told her a custody battle in the U.S. involving her 7-year-old daughter was the reason she did not appear on the “Celebrity Big Brother” — not because she wanted more money.

Moore showed a picture of herself with Daniels from backstage, saying she was “very angry” she couldn’t tell her side on camera. She said Daniels told her she received an email about the custody dispute and “suddenly” thought she couldn’t stay in the “Big Brother” house for an extended period of time. Though Moore says Daniels offered to appear on the premiere episode to explain the situation, Daniels said producers told her “We don’t want you to do any of it.”

A representative for Daniels did not immediately respond to TheWrap‘s request for comment.
