"American Horror Story" has just added another addition to its third installment, subtitled "Coven."
Co-creator Ryan Murphy announced on Monday via Twitter that "The Big C" and "Precious" star Gabourey Sidibe has been cast on the next season of the FX anthology series.

An FX rep was unable to share further details on the role.
Sidibe appears in the final season of Showtime's "The Big C," which premieres Monday. She made a splash in the gritty film, "Precious," in 2009 and went on to win an Oscar for the role. Her film credits include "Tower Heist" and "Seven Psychopaths."
The casting of the 29-year-old actress follows recent news that Kathy Bates had joined "American Horror Story" as a big baddie. She also joins returning actors Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy and Taissa Farmiga.

As one could assume from the "American Horror Story: Coven" title, the third installment will focus on witches. "It's a really cool story that we've been talking for a couple years, and this seemed to be the year to do it," Murphy said in March at PaleyFest.
"American Horror Story: Coven" returns to FX in the fall.
