Bill Murray took the NFL global on Sunday by starring in a quirky commercial advertising the Atlanta Falcons taking on the Detroit Lions in London’s famed Wembley Stadium — an annual fixture of the National Football League regular season.
“If I were an Englishman and heard the Falcons were gonna fight the Lions in public, it would sound a little too cruel for me,” Murray says in the video (above). “I’d stay home and drink beer and tea like they do.”

Murray, who can currently be seen in theaters in The Weinstein Company’s “St. Vincent,” also hyped up some stateside games, including the New England Patriots versus the Chicago Bears, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles against the Arizona Cardinals.
For the latter contest, the actor correctly predicted the “little red guy” would take down the country’s national bird, and proceeded to demonstrate an expert Cardinal call.
