Bill O’Reilly spoke out about President Obama criticizing Fox News’ coverage on poverty Thursday, saying he’d love to have him on to discuss the issue.
“It’s a lot easier for the president to demonize Fox News–which tells the truth–than it is for him to stress personal responsibility to the liberal precincts who don’t want to hear it,” the Fox News host said.
At an event earlier this week, the president said Fox News goes out of its way to cast the poor in a bad light. In response, many Fox News hosts, including O’Reilly, defended the network against the president.
O’Reilly also went after NY Times columnist Charles Blow, who wrote a column calling out Fox News and O’Reilly for calling poor people names.
“Charles Blow, welcome on this broadcast anytime, but I do not believe he is man enough to take that challenge,” he concluded.
