Former “Today” co-host Bill Bush went on rival “Good Morning America” to discuss his role in the lewd 2005 exchange with Donald Trump that was caught on a hot mic and released last October during the 2016 presidential election.

In his first television interview since the tape was released, Bush said the situation brought his teenage daughter Mary to tears.

“There was a powerful moment, my now 16-year-old daughter called me … and she was in tears,” Bush told “GMA” co-anchor Robin Roberts.

“She was really upset, and I said, ‘Mary, it’s, it’s, going to be OK. You know, don’t worry,’” Bush said. “And she said, ‘No. Why were you laughing at the things that he was saying on that bus? Why were you playing along with it, Dad? It wasn’t funny.’

“I said, ‘Mary, I am sorry. And there is no good answer for that,’” Bush said.

Bush, who was the host of “Access Hollywood” when the tape was recorded, laughed and played along as Trump bragged about his ability to gran women by the genitals because he’s “a star.”

Trump dismissed the comments at the time as “locker room banter” and went on to defeat Hillary Clinton on Election Day, but Bush lost his job at NBC’s “Today” show because of his role.
