Boy does ABC long for those “Little Mermaid Live” Tuesdays. Last night, “Black-ish” hit a new series low in ratings among adults 18-49, and ABC settled for last place among the Big 4 broadcast networks.
Higher up the Nielsen sheets, NBC and CBS split another Tuesday primetime.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.1 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 6.9 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. posted a 1.3/6 and 8.5 million viewers. “This Is Us” at 9 landed a 1.3/6 and 7 million viewers. “New Amsterdam” at 10 had a 0.7/4 and 5.1 million viewers.
CBS was second in ratings with a 0.8/4 and first in viewers with 8.9 million. “NCIS” at 8 put up a 1.0/5 and 11.5 million viewers. At 9, “FBI” got a 0.7/3 and 8.8 million viewers. At 10, “NCIS: New Orleans” received a 0.6/3 and 6.4 million viewers.
Fox was third in ratings with a 0.7/3 and fourth in viewers with 3.1 million. “The Resident” at 8 had a 0.7/3 and 3.7 million viewers. At 9, “Empire” got a 0.7/3 and 2.6 million viewers.
ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.6/3 and third in viewers with 3.7 million. “The Conners” at 8 had a 1.0/5 and 5.5 million viewers. At 8:30, “Bless This Mess” got a 0.6/3 and 3.5 million viewers. “Mixed-ish” at 9 received a 0.6/3 and 2.8 million viewers. At 9:30, “Black-ish” settled for a 0.5 rating and 2.6 million viewers. A Dolly Parton special at 10 filled in for “Emergence” with a 0.6/3 and 4 million viewers.
Telemundo and Univision tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.5. Telemundo had a 3 share, Univision got a 2. Telemundo was fifth in total viewers with 1.5 million, Univision was sixth with 1.3 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 629,000, airing just reruns.
